Frequently Asked Questions About Semaglutide

What is Semaglutide used for?

Semaglutide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist used to support weight loss by reducing appetite, decreasing cravings, and improving insulin sensitivity. It is administered as a once-weekly injection under medical supervision.

How often do I need a Semaglutide injection?

Semaglutide is administered once per week. Dosing is gradually increased over time to improve tolerance and effectiveness. Your provider determines your specific dose schedule.

How long does it take to see results with Semaglutide?

Many patients begin noticing appetite changes within the first few weeks. Visible weight loss often begins within 4 to 8 weeks, depending on metabolism, lifestyle, and adherence to the treatment plan.

Do I need an in-person appointment before starting?

Yes. An in-person consultation is required at DACS Medical Wellness & Aesthetics before medication is dispensed. This ensures medical eligibility and safe dosing.

What are common side effects of Semaglutide?

Common side effects may include nausea, mild stomach discomfort, constipation, diarrhea, or reduced appetite. These symptoms typically improve as your body adjusts to treatment.

Can I switch from Semaglutide to Tirzepatide?

Yes. Some patients may transition from Semaglutide to Tirzepatide depending on weight loss response and clinical goals. Your provider will determine if switching medications is appropriate.
